The Saraswati Shirt references multiple historical illustrations of Maa Saraswati, goddess of knowledge and creativity - including M.F. Husain's controversial sketch, Raja Ravi Varma's angelic painting, and added freehand details + Hindi script by Tamanna (designer). The front side of the shirt includes various symbols and prints of Saraswati.
All Alchem House garments are made using 100% cotton, upcycled, vintage white collar shirts, embroidered with custom design. A hand embroidery technique is inspired by the act of tattooing symbols on the skin, but on fabric.
Custom art embroidery pieces involve 10+ hours of handcraft.
